Professionnellement, Max est un tueur dans sa branche. Aussi bien métaphoriquement – puisque c’est vraiment le numero uno, le Top of the Pops, le Best of the Best -, que littéralement, puisqu’il est payé par des gens pour raccourcir abruptement la durée de vie d’autres gens. Et Max aurait pu continuer pépère à cotiser pour sa pension en logeant des pruneaux à gauche et à droite, mais il vient de se découvrir un problème de taille : il s’évanouit désormais devant la moindre goutte de sang… C’est peut-être un détail pour vous, mais pour lui, ça veut dire beaucoup. Fini de faire chanter les artères à la lame, adieu les belles giclées d’hémoglobine au calibre 12, même un steak saignant le fait défaillir. Heureusement, il peut compter sur ses Karim et Stéphanie, ses jeunes voisins pas très affutés, pour se changer les idées. Et tout va pour le mieux dans le monde merveilleux de la reconversion professionnelle, jusqu’au jour où ses anciens employeurs lui envoient officiellement son C4 sous forme de contrat sur sa tête… Après des débuts comme assistante-réalisatrice auprès de Patrice Chéreau et Cédric Klapisch, Cécilia Rouaud se lance en solo dès 2012 avec JE ME SUIS FAIT TOUT PETIT. Cette fois, elle revient avec une comédie noire, féroce et totalement inattendue qui a fait un carton plein au dernier festival de l’Alpe d’Huez ! En même temps, quand on dégaine un scénario pareil, incarné à l’écran par des pointures telles que François Damiens et Vanessa Paradis, on sait qu’on va assister à une véritable tuerie !

De nieuwste film van scenariste-regisseuse Cécilia Rouaud (UNE VIE AILLEURS, PHOTO DE FAMILLE) is een zwarte komedie zoals we die graag hebben met aandoenlijke en irritante personages, absurde situaties en een heleboel (verbale) kogels op zoek naar een gewillig doelwit. Onze François Damiens (LA FAMILLE BELIER, OTEZ-MOI D’UN DOUTE) is in topform als depressieve huurmoordenaar. Om nog maar te zwijgen van het zalige koppel William Lebghil (PREMIERE ANNEE) en Laura Felpin (ASTERIX ET OBELIX: L’EMPIRE DU MILIEU). Met opmerkelijke bijrollen voor Vanessa Paradis (L’ARNACOEUR) als Max z’n ex en Bruno Podalydès (DIEU SEUL ME VOIT) als Max’s mentor en toeverlaat.

Belgium’s pride François Damiens (THE BELIER FAMILY, THE LULUS) is in top shape as the depressed hitman. William Lebghil (THE FRESHMEN) and Laura Felpin (ASTERIX & OBELIX: THE MIDDLE KINGDOM) are superb as the hapless couple. With great supporting roles for Vanessa Paradis (HEARTBREAKER, KNIFE+HEART) as Max’s ex and Bruno Podalydès (ONLY GOD SEES ME) as Max’s mentor.
