Yesterday, I ate at some yakitori place next to Kamakura station. I met a japanese couple, and we spent most of the evening trying to communicate. Fun.
Today, I hiked through some of the many temples and shrines of the area (and of course, the Dai Butsu). Beautiful nature. I'm off to Nagano now.
Ok, I was on my way to Nagano, when I realized I left my trusty guidebook on top of some public phone at Tokyo station. I just had the time to jump off the Shinkansen at the next station, jump on the train opposite to it back to Tokyo, get my book which was still there (amazing!), and catch the next train to Nagano. Oooof... Only lost thirty minutes.
